Full course description
Here's a course for every teacher, because in every learning environment there are an array of needs and learning styles that exceed any existing single paradigm or pedagogy. Special ed and ESL instruction are not just for single focus classrooms! Today's learning environment and today's educators face greater complexity of task and more diverse student demographics than ever before.
That's why we provide you with videos, articles, and other resources to guide you in using iPads to scaffold, shape, and extend learning to meet the needs of your special education learners, gifted students, and English learners.
You'll learn specific ways iPads can help you address those needs with app reviews, teacher recommendations, and thought leadership on implementing technology to differentiate instruction. You'll find apps and ideas targeted to various instructional needs among your SpEd and EL pupils. You'll also find apps aligned to each aspect of Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences as well.
Your choices for AOK projects include an option that results in you developing practical ways to apply your new knowledge in class. And once your work is reviewed by our team of credentialed teacher evaluators, the badge you're awarded signifies you can effectively use iPads to reach students with needs outside the scope of mainstream curriculum and teaching strategies.
