Full course description
In this course, you'll learn the basics of what exactly 21st century skills are and how to help your students master them to be college and career ready in a future they will be inventing themselves. Innovation, the four "Cs"—communication collaboration, critical thinking and creativity—along with problem solving, self-direction, and resource management, will be the core of successful professional and personal endeavors.
You'll watch videos that show how schools and educators are helping students develop these skills, read articles about what it takes to be successful in a knowledge-building economy, and have the chance to create curriculum to offer your students tomorrow. When your Assessment of Knowledge (AOK) shows proficiency as determined by our credentialed teacher evaluators, the micro-badge you earn indicates a working knowledge of how educators can foster 21st century skills, for themselves and their students.
