Full course description
No self-respecting astronaut would start the countdown to liftoff without making sure everything was ready to go. As you prepare to launch 1:1 in your class or school, be sure all your stakeholders are on board, especially your parents. You'll prevent the possibility of "Houston, we have a problem."
This micro-credential course gives you tools and guidance for thinking ahead about questions that might come up, how to ensure your students' safety online, how to assuage parent concerns and educate them about keeping their children (and themselves!) safe online.
You'll find videos, articles, posters, and reference materials that you can share with families at the beginning of your 1:1 implementation, and throughout the year.
You'll become fluent in issues surrounding digital citizenship from both student and parent perspectives. And you'll be equipped to facilitate conversations at home that can bring families closer and keep them healthy in their online lives. And that's what we call a hero, teacher-friend!
You can choose an AOK option that results in classroom-ready material and lets your students and their families benefit right away from your new knowledge and skills. Our team of credentialed expert evaluators will assess your work and award your micro-badge so you can show your competence at getting students and their families ready to make the most of 1:1.
