Back in the day, the central nervous system of a teacher's room was a big metal filing cabinet. Or two. Or more.
But being stuck in a classroom on Sunday afternoon or long after dark is a thing of the past. With Google Apps, you can do it all, with complete access to your paperwork, anywhere you have Internet access. No more, "I'll look it up when I go back to class and let you know…"
You can find and work on files from your classroom, your kitchen table, your car when you've just had an idea on the way out of the grocery store, the cafe while you wait for your latte.
Google App keeps all your files at your fingertips—oversized ones, works in progress, the ones you're collaborating on with your PLC, students' first drafts, parent communications, papers that need grading, memos from the principal, and those inspirational quotes you're collecting.
With this course, you'll learn the ins and outs of the Drive organizational tools—the buttons, the icons, the drag & drop-ability—and how to be the master of your files, all the way from signing in and creating new folders to working when you don't have Wi-Fi and securely collaborating with others. You'll learn how to use and optimize Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms. And then how to use them on the run, via Google Mobile Apps.
Your students will directly benefit from your learning as well; every course section contains at least one option for an Assessment of Knowledge (AOK) that ends with classroom-ready curriculum in your hands.
